What you get back
A score is a measurement, not a name
Results are ranked by how alike two images are. The strongest are marked in the margin. Nothing is ever labelled verified, safe, or suspicious.

Questions people ask first
What do I actually get back?
A ranked list of public web pages where a face similar to your photo appears. Every result links to its source so you can open it and see the context yourself.
What happens to the photo I upload?
It is passed straight through to the search service and released. It is never written to our disks, never put in object storage, and never saved to a database.
Why was my photo rejected before searching?
Your browser checks the crop for a face before a search can start. If it cannot find one, the search is blocked so you do not spend anything on a photo that cannot return useful results. Use a clear, front-facing shot of one person.
How accurate is a score?
A score measures how alike two images are, nothing more. High scores usually mean the same person, but not always: people who look alike score high, and two photos of one person in different lighting can score low. Treat results as leads to check, not as answers.
Does it search private accounts?
No. Only pages that are publicly accessible and already indexed can turn up. Nothing behind a login, a paywall, or a privacy setting is reachable.
Can I get my own results removed?
Yes. Use the removal form linked in the footer and we will stop returning results that relate to you. We can only change what our own service shows — the pages themselves belong to whoever publishes them.
Do I need an account?
Not to try it. You create one when you buy credits, and it is a magic link to your email — there is no password to remember.
Limits
Not for every purpose
Red Flag is for checking someone you are about to meet. Using it to harass, stalk, or impersonate a person is prohibited, as is using it to decide anything about employment, housing, credit, insurance, or tenant screening. Read the terms. If you have found yourself in someone’s results, ask us to remove them.
